Dam & Partners Architecten designed the interior for Jackie, a magazine-related restaurant club in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The club embraces a total concept of nightlife, meeting people and dining.
Its interior is a celebration of contrasts like the cheerful colors combined with somber black or the glamorous lighting effects contradicted by a rough wooden floor. The round forms and undulating lines in the club area stand out against the rigid straight forms in the restaurant, with its large open kitchen and views over the lake.
One particularly striking element is the undulating wall of glass tubes behind the likewise meandering bar, in which products from Jackie advertisers are displayed.
