The Waffles Sneaker Delicacies By BEAVERHOUSEN

BEAVERHOUSEN designed a very clean white space for the Waffles Sneaker Delicacies Store in Brussels.

Taking the name literally in order, they created a world that breaths waffles. The wall behind the counter and the counter itself are covered with white tiles to give the space a bakery feeling.

The shelves are simplified waffle shapes made out of coated foam. The cut-aways in the waffle shapes proudly present colorful shoes. This creates a delicious contrast while a mirror behind every cut-away shows us the other side of each shoe.

And to top it all, a special waffle perfume will make your feet hungry.

Yogo Juice By Sig Design

QQ Cao and Ray Lee of Sig Design were asked to design Yogo Juice, an ice cream bar in the center of Shanghai, China.

Yogo Juice is located on the second floor of the Ganghui Building, which has an open space and provides a view onto the street. Exceptional circumstances made it impossible to change the surface of the ceiling, the floor and the walls. Cao and Lee explored different avenues to create a healthy and fresh brand image.

On both sides of the layout of the store, two cages were created to use as a counter and as a lounge area. The counter was designed as a DJ booth and has headphones for customer who want to listen to music.

Miss Poem By P-Arch

Designer Bora Cakilkaya of P-Arch designed the interior for Miss Poem, located in the historical city centre of Istanbul.

Surrounded by several modern buildings, Miss Poem’s has a sense of history mixed together with contemporary design. ‘We put aside all application wallpaper layers that were applied year after year’, says Bora. ‘Almost 8 ton of wallpaper was removed within eight days.’

After finding the proper wall and ceiling surfaces that would expose the historical character of the building, damaged ceiling and wall bricks were repaired. Epoxy mixed with bright tinsel was used to create a floor surface which is resistant to intense traffic. ‘We used a white colour to reflect the pure symbol of the space’, says Bora. ‘I expect that the colour will give the store a spatial message towards the street it is located on.’

Breezehouse by Michelle Kaufmann

Breezehouse home was thoughtfully designed by Michelle Kaufmann Designs and Sunset Magazine for green, healthy living. The key feature of the Sunset Breezehouse is the BreezeSpace at the center, which is situated under a distinctive butterfly-shaped roof. This room, a glass-enclosed breezeway or porch, allows you to “let the green in” to your main living and dining areas, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior. Courtyards, terraces and decks are placed at the front and rear of the home to further integrate nature with living. By borrowing space from the outside, the home feels much larger than it is.

Mercedes-Benz Museum By UNstudio

Located in Stuttgard, Germany,UNstudio projected a sophisticated geometry that celebrates a legendary car.

The geometric model employed is based on the trefoil organization. The building’s program is distributed over the surfaces which ascend incrementally from ground level, spiraling around a central atrium.

The Museum experience begins with visitors traveling up through the atrium to the top floor from where they follow the two main paths that unfold chronologically as they descend through the building.

The two main trajectories, one being the car and truck collection and the other consisting of historical displays called the Legend rooms, spiral downwards on the perimeter of the display platforms, intersecting with each other at several points allowing the visitor to change routes.
